  1. Dr Vohra is my surgeon too. My surgery was 11/20 and I haven't had any complications at all. As of today I'm 61 pounds down.
  2. Well good news. Got my blood work and everything came back normal so thinking blood pressure dropped causing me to black out.
  3. I'm wondering if my blood pressure medication is too strong now. My bloodworm results come back tomorrow so I'll know more then
  4. Im 3 months out and passed out last night heading for the bathroom. I went today for blood work thinking but might be low Iron or potassium. I've been getting a little dizzy when standing up last couple weeks. I've been getting in my fluids and been eating well. Has anyone had experience with this?
  5. I had a problem with water too. It took about a month and a half after surgery to be able to drink it again without being nauseous. I did find that herbal tea worked well instead. I liked the celestial seasons cranberry apple flavor. Either warm or cold it went down with no problem.
  6. I'm feeling pretty good antbarrella. Trying to get all my fluids and Vitamins in. Doing better with Protein. I went back to work a week after surgery and find I have to remind myself to drink and eat. You were at south Nassau on nov 20th?
  7. I'm just over 3 weeks out from my surgery and I get the hiccups all the time too. Fortunately they don't hurt but it seems like every time I drink I get them. Hope they don't last for long. Congrats on the 20 pound loss!
  8. I'm on long island too. Was sleeved november 20th at Nassau communities hospital in Oceanside.
  9. I know how you feel. I was sleeved 15 days ago and am so sick of protein shakes and soup broth. My dr has me in this stage for 4 to 5 weeks before even starting creamed soups and cottage cheese. I just take it 1 day at a time. It's not easy though....
  10. Tomorrow is 1 week out for me and went to the DMV to get my license renewed. Even though I sat most of the time waiting (2 hours). I was still wiped out . Listen to your body and rest when it needs you to .
  11. Had my sleeve done 11/20 and finally got the ok from doc to go home later today. Woohoo! I had a tough day Wednesday with nausea and vomiting bet gave me something right away for it. Thank god that's over with. Each day is better and better just like everyone says. Thank for all the support you all give here.
  12. I'm finally sleeved! Having no pain except for some discomfort in upper left shoulder. My doctor said I can go home thursday afternoon one I can't wait! I'm so happy I had this done ! Hope that everyone else sleeved today are doing well too.
  13. My surgery is Tuesday and I've been getting together what I think I'll need for my stay. Gas x strips, mouth spray, extension cord for cell charger, besides the normal toiletries. Am I forgetting anything?
  14. My surgery is Tuesday too. I'll be getting a call from the hospital sometime today telling me what time to be there. Spent all weekend cleaning and Christmas decorating also. Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery!
  15. Just got my final clearance from primary doctor. 5 days to go till surgery. I can't believe it's here and am so excited for my new life to start.
  16. I finally got the call from my surgeon today! So excited surgery is set for 11/20.
  17. I've researched the sleeve over 2 years and finally decided to go for it. I've got total support from friends at work but my 17 year old daughter is totally against it. Any advice from anyone with a similar situation?
  18. My case was submitted to Oxford yesterday. Hopefully won't wait long for approval. I'm so ready for this surgery!!
