I've researched the sleeve over 2 years and finally decided to go for it. I've got total support from friends at work but my 17 year old daughter is totally against it. Any advice from anyone with a similar situation?

Has she given you a reason? Maybe she's afraid of something going wrong.

My older kids were worried too. (I haven't had surgery yet) but I talked to them about the risks and the odds... and showed them some success stories. I also told them that my risks of dying WITHOUT having surgery are pretty high too because of my weight and health problems. They are still worried about it but are not against it anymore.

Maybe you need to have a heart to heart talk with her about the odds of the risks of having surgery/not having surgery.
