The surgeon's office let me know everything was sent for approval today. Fingers and toes crossed. Hopefully this is the beginning to the end of the waiting. . . . . . .

Mommybo, I have Cigna and the first time my paperwork was submitted, it was denied. It seems that wrong codes were submitted. I wish you luck and good health on your journey.

Well got denied. They said something is missing. The advocate at the surgeon's said not to worry. Have to resend and hopefully hear next week. Of course it wouldn't be easy for me. that's the way my life goes. Feeling kinda down right now. I hate waiting.

I think that this is probably common, that maybe something was overlooked or maybe a wrong code (aka cpt medical code for the procedure). Still praying for you! I belive this will work out! *Fingers crossed*

Gah! I wish, I got bumped another week, so now its Dec 5. I almost had a meltdown when the office told me that...but now its just a week away. #Nerves!

Our pre-op is very different, basically can have Protein and veggies up until 24 hrs before surgery, and then Clear liquids 24 hrs before, nothing after midnight night before...

I just get worried that I am not loosing enough (only down about 4 lbs since starting preop diet). The doc never gave me a number to loose, just said follow the diet. :S I guess in that regards i'm much luckier than some others who have to do liquid only for 2 weeks!

*sigh* just kinda want it to be here already so I can stop stressing sooo much about it.

It'll be here and over before you know it. My surgeon is the same way. Liquids for just 24 hours the day before. I actually gained during this whole process, it's been so hard with quitting smoking!! I'm sure you'll do great. Keep me updated. 6 days left!

Will defintely keep you updated. Thank goodness I quit smoking when I was pregnant and didn't pick it back up, I know that is such a struggle for many people (including some of my siblings). I think that we will be just fine, as long as I just get through the next few days.

No, my advocate said the lady from scheduling will call me and I if I don't hear from her by Monday to call. Oh, I will be calling Lol. I want this done as early in January as possible! 5 days for you!

I was denied by CIGNA today. So disappointed, i wanted to cry at my desk. But i was almost sure that they wouldnt accept my weight watchers logs/letter since it wasnt physician supervised. Did you have to do that also. My surgeon's office has a 3 and 6 month program that i actually started last month (thanks goodness) so i will completed that middle of January. But i think something is also wrong with the letter my PCP provided according to the CIGNA rep i spoke with. I'm really hating this and am sooooooooooooooo frustrated.
