Ok has anyone else noticed one down side to weight loss lol

Being cold!!

Feeling the cold!

Cold cold cold!

My god its awful!

Normally even this time of year in the uk I still have my fan on till I go to sleep sometimes even while sleeping and just sleep with a sheet and a blanket over me and all year round even if it is snowing outside my bedroom window is wide open, well not any more!

Blimey!

No fan on not yet got the quilt out but extra fleecy blankets are on me and fleece or flannel night clothes because i am cold allllllllll the time the other night in bed I was half asleep and sorta stirred because I was shivering.

Who does that your shiver so bad it wakes you up!

Right now I have thick socks on my old lady fleece sheepskin slippers on leggings fleece pj pants over them a pj top and 2 cardigans to keep me warm lol

heating bill will be crazyyyyyyy

I so know how you feel! I haven't lost as much as you have but I'm always freezing! I live in So Cal and eveyone thinks I'm crazy because I'm always wearing a sweater!

I look forward to not sweating in winter. I actually like bundling up but I am a Mass girl born and raised. Living in the south has been quite the adjustment. Lol.

I am always hot! So now when I say I am cold my hubby looks at me like I am crazy! I would still rather be cold than always sweating. I mopped my house yesterday and did not sweat-- awesome!!

Exactly. I'm only 33 so I know it wasn't menopause or anything...so I refer to them as fat flashes.

Sassypants do I know the feeling! My family was always freezing because I always had the air conditioner on about 65 even in the winter sometimes, i would not even turn the heat on because it would make me sick!

Boy o boy how the tables have turned, the heat is on and I am sleeping in fleece pjs with socks and an electric blanket, I honestly don't know how I am going to make it thru the winter, and I'm only in Mississippi!

I have lost 88 lbs so far with 69 more to go till I get to my goal weight and I am miserable with the cold, but I can always put on enough to get warm, when I was 334 lbs before I couldn't take off enough to get cool, thank goodness!

This is actually one of the things I'm most excited about. It was 40 degrees last night, I slept with my window open, with 2 sheets. I was burning up. I don't know what it's like to be cold anymore! But my surgery will probably be in November or December, maybe I'll feel cold in February :)

Just about 2 years out and I'm still cold. The upside is it's usually easier to get warm then it is to cool off, you can always ADD ;ayers but you can only take so much off - especially in public :)

I also just don't get very hot in the summer either. This past summer I was out riding my bike all through the horrible 100+ degree weather we had here, didn't really faze me at all.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
