So here it is, I'm 15 months post op and just in the last month or so I have been able to eat much more than before. I never thought I would be able to have more than a few bites of dense protein and yet now I can eat a whole fillet of talapia, almost a whole chicken breast and maybe 5 ounces of steak. Yet I can barely eat 2 bites of my favorite food in the world- hamburgers. I still have some days when I want to cry because I want to eat like I did before, admittedly they are few and far between and I would have surgery again in a heartbeat, but still wish I could get that whole hamburger, fries and coke in. Then again being able to wear a size 8/10 is amazing.
I'm shocked that maintainence is so easy. Also shocked that the weight loss has stopped and if I want to lose any more I know I will have to really work for it now. That first year the weight fell off so easily I guess I thought it would always be like that.
Well I guess I'm done rambling now. Thanks for listening.
