Dr. Coboun's Patients

Recommended Posts

I recieved an e-mail the other the other day from Dr. Cobourn's office. Did everyone else get one?

It was about the new location, and about Marie, etc....

In the newsletter it said that they want us to contact the office once a month with our progress. Just wondering if you all do that?

Cloe i do i have from the beginning, it was Marie's suggesting that i check in every two weeks or once a month.

I called the office on Tuesday to speak to Tammy, she sounds nice, we talked a little bit about my progress. I usually email the info to the office, but because she is new i called this time so i could introduce myself to her, next month i will email the stats to her.

Maria:)

Great question. Last night I was reading the notes I received from the office and realized that it states to keep in touch once a month. I will be there early October so I won't call or e-mail before I go. My feeling is that unless everything is fine I don't think that I will contact them.

For the people that do keep in touch, do you feel that there is any value in it?

I don't really 'keep in touch'. When I do email, it was usually like so:

"Hey Marie,

It's been WAY too long since I last updated my weight, so here it is: ____

Mandi"

And now that Marie's not there, it'll probably be:

"Hey weird lady,

today I weigh ___ .

Mandi"

It's never been of much value. I just they THEY like knowing how you're doing. And if you're not losing very much/fast, they might determine that you should come in for a fill. They never contact ME and ask how I'm doing, which would be nice... so they should consider them lucky if I bless them with an email! HA!

and what's up with the 'before and after pictures"? I think I've seen those all on Inamed's website! Unless Dr. C and associates pay for their patients who make it to goal, to go get professional pictures taken!?

The new pics on the website are from the Inamed website. It's listed that they are used with permission from Inamed. I'm sure once he has patients that are at goal he will post his own patient pics with their permission.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
