Hey there! I want to start a thread of sleevers who are going to Mexico in October. I have found a couple people who have their surgeries scheduled and it's really nice to be in contact with others who may be there around the same time. I'm going to Tijuana for surgery with Dr Garcia October 27. I'll be staying at the Marriott for 3 nights total with 2 days at Mi Doctor hospital for the actual surgery and recovery. If there are others going to Mexico , but not in October, feel free to post also: I've found it so helpful to find others in the same boat as myself...

Made it to Cali and Samuel the driver for Ready4aChange was right there to pick us up. Heading to TJ now in traffic to check in for tomorrow's surgery.

Hello everyone, Thanks for the well wishes and good vibes. I made it through surgery no complications. I went in to the OR and the thing I remember is my arms being stretched out and straped down, afterward I awoke in the recovery room. My sister and daughter told me after making it out of the recovery room, I took a 30 min power nap and said lets go walking. I've had very little and I mean little pain or gas.

For Dr. Garcia's patients you all will LOVE him and the staff. Everyone is so attentative to your needs before you know what your needs are.

Once again, THANK YOU ALL! I look forward to hearing your surgery story too.

I made it safe to TJ Samuel picked me up from the border parking lot. Tomorrow is my day I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure that tomorrow my nerves will hit me. Thank you everyone for your support.

My clear liquid days were not that bad I kept my goal in mind when cooking for my family then last night I baked a cake for my niece. I did not cheat on my clear liquid days.

I will report back tomorrow as soon as I can.

I fought the same battle with my family for a while. I am going alone to Mexico here in a couple weeks. It would be great to have the support of family, but the lack of support hasn't changed my mind. It's just made me more determined. It's that mentality that will make us all winners/loosers in the end
