I was sleeved on 8/27 I'm down 22 lbs I'm still on mushy foods I mainly eat cottage cheese, egg salad mixed with light Salad Dressing. I only eat 1/4 cup and I eat 3 times a day. I did make some baked Beans today with no meat and I sprinkled some splenda brown sugar on them before baking. Tasted pretty good! Good luck to everyone!!! Belinda

I was sleeved on 8/21 @ 248.8 DOS as of my appt on 9/13 I was 233.5. I'm having some bad back pains and was referred to a specialist. My appt is on Monday. The Dr told me to start on soft foods at my appt. I didn't do well during the purre/ mushy stage nothing tasted right after it was blended, so hopefully after my appt on Monday I can go food shopping.

Sleeved 8/21.

Still on soft foods for another week. I'm doing ok. liquids are easy for me. I'm finding that my 'food lazy's' are coming back and sometimes I'd rather just drink a Protein shake than go into the kitchen and fix food. That laziness made me fat, so I really need to be careful.

Highest weight: 253

DOS: 234

Last weeks weight: 214

I'm losing gradually compared to the average 'honeymoon' losses, and I really don't mind. I lost a lot pre-surgery so I'm sure my body is just adjusting. 20 pounds in almost a month isn't something I could have done w/o my sleeve!

I was sleeved 8/22 and down 21 lbs. I too seem to be stuck here but I've heard that there can be a stall at three weeks. I feel like I'm losing inches faster than weight.

Hey all,

I am 2 weeks post op. Had the Sleeve done on August 31st. Since pre op I have lost 36lbs. Down from 282-246. Although the past week I have had a stall in weight loss. I am keeping my fluids up. I have been having trouble reaching the 75-90g of protien a day. I am up to about 60g. I started full liquids this week. It was so nice to eat something warm. I tried a little to soon to eat some tuna pureed and I paid the price I had terrible reflux. I also seem to have developed a lactose intolerence after surgery. Has anyone else experienced this. Has anyone else had a stall this soon? Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks!!

Jason

I too can't seem to get milk down.. But I can handle cheese. I've read that milk is hard on your stomach so I bought some skim milk but I'm still afraid to try it. Hoping it gets better with time

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
