I had my surgery in August and took 4 weeks off and was glad I did. You have be physically as well as mentally ready to return . As nurses we are so busy that we don't stop and eat or drink and that's going to be a challenge because you have to with your new lifestyle . I still struggle sometimes to get my fluids in at work.

I'm 4 months out and developed gallstones . Scheduled for surgery on Thursday. Apprehensive.

I didn't use Dr. Merriman but researched about him. I think the comments about his bedside manner seems to be the most compliant. I used Dr. Norwood and have been very pleased with him. They also emphasize follow-up. I'm 12 wks out I see the nurse practitioner monthly who happens to be his wife. It's not a lot of staff but pleasant and efficient . I live out of town so I don't get to go to the support group like I want too . He is also a Bliss doctor since I was self pay. Just make sure you are comfortable with your choice.

My third week I was on pureed and shakes. I agree you my be advancing too fast. Take your time.

I'm 2 months post-op and use my bipap every night

I also brought the Eatsmart thru Amazon. I have been very pleased with it

Surgery on 8/8 . I'm down 44lbs ; 29 was pre-op I'm on soft diet and have had several stalls. I need to increase my exercise.

Dr. Norwood did my surgery on 08- 08. He is excellent. So far so good. His diet is stricter but I'm okay with it . I'm from Monroe.
