1. smoothies tend to be high in sugar so be ware of that

2. The body can only absorb about 25g of Protein at a time, rest isn't absorbed

I didn't know that about the absorption of 25g Protein at a time, glad you mentioned it. I've been doing 2 scoops of my Unjury Protein Powder to get 42g at lunch time. Guess i'm wasting a scoop...Will only use one now...

I like the gladiator but I only use them when I am out of town and concerned about Protein. Twice in 5 months.

if you're going to put fruit, yeah, fruit can be high in sugar.. but so what.. just be smart & pick a lower sugar fruit...

lemon, lime, blueberry, raspberry.. pretty much any kinda berry is low in sugar.. even on an anti-candida diet, you can have berries & lemon or lime. also, apple is another good fruit that's got Fiber & is low in sugar.

there ya go. :)

I go to Smoothie King quite often- I ask them to give me a kid's size gladiator- I do get fruit and stick with raspberry and blueberry or one of those and mango- I do ask them to use half the fruit to reduce carbs but still a great high Protein low carb option and it keeps me full for hours and takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to drink the whole thing and I am just over 6 months post op-

Isn't fruit good sugars though? I figure a small 20 fl oz for Breakfast cause I'm having trouble drinking Protein shakes.

for sure, early out I think this is not a bad idea. I couldn't drink Protein Shakes either. I hate the idea of only taking in 200-300 calories a day-- and tanking my metabolism. So I didn't. I eat 1500-2000 daily now in maintenance.!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
