No, thats not what I meant. It looks fine. I was just wondering if there was some thread about a christmas challenge like lose x amount of weight by christmas or a christmas exercise challenge. Your tickers look fine to me, although I don't know what I am doing either! ha ha.

I had what I think is a highly successful banding - have NO pain now except a tiny bit where the portal incision is. I was overnight in hospital, flew back to Maui (surgery was in Oahu) day after and drove myself home via costco stop for soup!!! Feelng good enough today (friday) to work! So far, soo good, seems too easy! Yesterday managed to consume almost as much Protein as I should be. "drinking" yogurts and Soups some too. Don't even feel deprived - no hunger whatsoever. Good to here posts from other October bandsters! I can't wait til I can go swimming again after wounds all heal. For me, that is the hardest part!

Hey! I can't figure out how to add a ticker to my profile/posts. How do you do that?

Marion

I will help you out with the ticker.

After you made it and see it there, what you used was a link that has to be clicked on to view...but the actual code is a bit farther down. I do web page design so kinda know about codes. The first one is the one I used...and it worked. Just copy what is inside the box...(drag across it with the mouse..then right click and select copy...and paste it all right in the end of your message.

Hope that works for you..

mauimarion, I think you just copied the link to the graphic and not the code that makes it work in the message you wrote...it is in a box down just a bit below from where you got the link. Drag across it with your mouse..right click and select copy...then on your message...right click and select paste and in it goes...

Well, I am feeling just fine....drinking my clear liquids and taking my Protein supplement and Vitamins. Just feeling real good...tired but good. Sunday I can have creamed Soup and all that.... YEA...I am not overly hungry though...really...I crave things but it is real easy to overcome since I don't feel that "hunger".

Take care all and it would be fun to hear from all of you that had surgery on thursday the 26th...

Too Funny qbanita! I think I may have forgotten how to chew, since I did 2 weeks of liquid prior to surgery. :faint:

I'm with you, I am not into the SF Jell-O and if I have any more broth, I am going to scream! I tried both chicken and Beef Broth, and the Chicken is the only thing I can stand!

Sunday I go to full liquids and can have milk! I never would have thought that I would miss milk.

Then on Monday I get to go to pureed food for two weeks. I can hardly wait!

Has anyone else noticed that they are hyper-sensitive to smells? I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, and I went down an isle that smelled funny for some reason and I got so nauseous!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
