I eat like that all the time. I have too, otherwise,, I could not swallow a thing.Everything is dry, and it won't go down. This way a little moisture makes it possible to eat. Otherwise by now???? I'd either be under 90lbs., or dead.wich ever comes first.

Their is a problem with the Thyroid, so I can't swallow.

You know I read somewhere that if you'll stay full longer if you don't drink anything for a full hour after you eat. I've been trying this the past few days and it's really, truly helped. I always half-believed the whole 'don't drink when you eat thing' but now I'm a full believer!

I'm glad to know that someone else has a problem with not drinking while eating. I can't manage it either. I'm a nurse and we're not allowed to have drinks in the recovery room - a long way from the break room. If I don't drink with lunch, I don't get any fluids until I get off work. If I try to get all my Water in after work, I'm up all night making potty trips. I started trying to drink a 1/2 bottle of water before I start lunch. It seems to help keep that first bite from getting stuck, too.

Hi Everyone, I am back from HELL. Let me tell you that was not fun at all. Well, I had the big surgery it took almost 6 hrs (my poor hubby) after 3hours they came out and told him that there was abnormal cells so they were going to do the staging. But there wasn't cancer yet. so they opened me up the rest of the way. OUCH!!!!

The one thing I will tell you is to have your band UNFILLED with any body Surgery!!!!!!!!! The swelling was bad so the band was tighter. so eating is like out. Then you can't pass gas cuz no food or liquid. I felt like I was going to blow. I have hardly eaten since last saturday.

The Doctor said Monday that the test looked good. But will know in 10 days for sure. Then I will have to have a test every 3 months till 10 years. so I'm praying for that.

But I am back and everyone get healthly! It is so important to do this. For everyone around too! My hubby was so upset & exhausted, this hurt him alot. (I say as the gas in my shoulder is killing me. )

But I do want to say that the health care is bad out there. We need to encourge our young childred to go into medicine or I can't think of what is going to happen to us, Oh the paper work is great! But the care of the people is very bad. We are so going backwards. We must fix this. Talk to people and see how there time in the hospital was? This is my new mission in life is to fix this. (OR HELP)

OK lets move on with life! I'm back. YEA! Love you all can't wait to start reading the posts. Love ya Mary

Hello my Angels!

I have been in Kansas all of this past week. The SD State Pen sent me to Parsons Kansas (southeast corner) to a burner factory. I had a great time and learned a lot about some of the burners we use in some of our boilers here.

Eat? Man, it was a smorgasborg the entire week. They fed us Prime Rib, chicken, Beef & Pork ribs, Rib Eye Steaks, and on and on! I did my best but I'm afraid I gained a pound or two last week.

But I'm back home and back "on the wagon" again. I've caught up on all the posts I missed and I can only say one thing for sure...I'm glad I do not have a TOM!!!!! I feel for you gals. Geez...........

Hey, old Jimboss loves you all and even though most of us did not meet the easter challenge, the important thing is we are losing. Each day is another challenge it seems... whether it is TOM, or head hunger, or PB's, or surgery's, or lifes everyday frustrations. But the good news is we all have this special tool that has been put in us and it is there for us. It isn't easy but most good things in life aren't. Keep up the good work Angels!

Hugs as always...~ Jimboss ~

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
