i think it is good when you get an early slot' date=' wake up and no anxious waiting and have a whole day to recover, thinking about you, xx[/quote']

Thank you. As a bloke I feel that I need to take rubbish out before surgery. Feel like I'm forgetting something. Very frustrating. Lol

Hi, I've only just found this group. I was sleeved on the 23/1/13. I'm stuck at the moment and a little bit down, I'm on week 5. Last wk I only lost a pound and a half and this wk looks like its going to be the same. I've up'd my fluids, I was finally able to eat something yesterday without being sick which was great, just hoping this stops the tiny weight loss and kick starts the good weight losses.

Hi Dee. I was sleeved on the 10/1/13 and hit a stall for about 3wks. It is a downer but my only advice is try your best not to get obsessed with the scales, as that's what put me in a bad mood! Just carry on doing what your doing, the stall will come to an end soon and you will notice the weight drop :)

I think I do get a little obsessed :-( I think this may be due to me paying for my surgery myself and the fact we barely eat anything, I just really want to see results. I have upped my fluids and now carry a water bottle with me to sip all day, this I think will help as all over this forum people have said that helped them. I'm also getting very very dry skin :-( hopefully the fluids will help this too. Thank you for your reply and support :-)

Hi I'm from the north east, I had surgery on 20/12/12, scary but the best decision I've made since deciding to have my kids. I was originally 290 lbs and mow I am 184. I have dropped from a size 22/24 to a size 14/16. For the first time in over a decade I feel alive. I would honestly say I have had no problems. Until now! I feel a little run down. I can only seem to eat about 10grams of Protein and I know it should be so much more. I haven't a clue wether I should be taking more than just a multi Vitamin to help and my hair is falling out a LOT. Anyone with advice or tips out there I would greatly appreciate it

Have you had any blood tests post op to heck your levels etc to make sure you are getting everything. I had mine at 6 months and 12 months. Not sure exactly what they checked for but I do know I asked them specifically to check my B12. Everything was fine and I don't have to check again until 2 yrs post op. I had my op in April 12.

I take Multivitamin, b12 and Biotin each day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
