Hi Neek! I'm a newbie, 2 weeks post-op yesterday. For me, calories matter/regardless of composition of those calories! I have to be below 1000 to lose steadily. Once I get close to 1200, I stall or even gain! That may be the 'over 50' curse-slower metabolism! Are you getting 60-80 gs. protein and drinking 64 oz. fluids? Maybe you are retaining Water from too much sodium. Try a glass if warm water and the juice of a fresh lemon. When I can have fruits again, this will be my wake up drink! It helps flush out excess water weight plus makes you feel lighter and energized! Good luck, Hun! Don't despair -you're doing great!

Are you getting in enough protein and Water? How is your carb intake? And lastly are you having regular bowels movements. I am about 2.5 months out and I still must take a weekly laxative in order to make it work...I also track my intake on My Fitness Pal as it gives me a realistic idea of what I am truly eating because just keeping in your head, well generally is not so accurate. I found before I started tracking, my carb intake was too high but since tracking I have consistently lost about 2-3lbs a week...some weeks more...

Hi Guys I want to thank you guys for responding. I just started using fitness pal & been eating to many calories. I will do better starting tomorrow. In no way shape or form have I been tracking my food intake. Today I talked to my nut she did give me some tips on how to get back on track. I got lazy & cocky as I knew I would. I still have about 75 pounds to loose & by march, it will all be done. That's why I love this forum. You guys all are the bomb. Thank you again. All of you who took the time to help me. Much love sleevers. :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
