I have to arrive at the hospital at 830a tomorrow. At least I will be able to send my kids off to school before I leave. I drank the magnesium about 3hrs ago and I've been shatting my brains out ever since. Gosh I pray that I will be able to sleep tonight and I haven't been able to trust a fart since drinking the magnesium :/

I am also having surgery tomorrow and drank the pico salax at 7..and have to drink another one at 6. How is is possible for a human being to have so much gunk inside them when they have been on liquids only for 4 weeks. I better be down 5 lbs tomorrow morning after all this lol. Will be thinking of u and all the other oct 2 sleevers. I check in at 930 pst

Don't!! I did the same. I would be great for like 3-4 days then just need something to chew. Don't fret it. Get back on track. It's funny, my first "cheat" was also taco meat with some sour cream. I lost 20 lbs on my pre op. just think..some people don't even go on a pre op and have food funerals up until the day of their op. just focus:)

I thought I was getting it easy and instead of one night I'll be in there for two nights

I was talking to the nurse advocate through BCBS and told them I was planning on being home on Friday after surgery Thursday. She said something along the lines of, "Uhm, probably Saturday at the earliest." :(

Don't beat yourself up! I did cheat although I do regret it. I'm down about 13 pounds.

My surgery is tomorrow, and I'm starting to get very nervous and anxious. I was not nervous like this for my Lapland. I'm very scared of complications.

Good luck with your surgery , it's norm to be nervous everything will be fine. I am scared to, and excited all at once.

I can say I am in more discomfort today than yesterday. I think in is because I was so drugged up. It is discomfort a nagging discomfort. I will be able to drink after leak test this morning. Whatever u do Do Not Forget Your Chapstick!!!!! That is the one thing I have used almost every hour. I am no hungry lol! It is a damn shame gotta get my stomach cut out not to feel that! Hope it continues. Thanks again and Good luck to the 10/2 Sleevers!!!

I was nervous too. I cried when I left my husband. I prayed to God because he knows my struggles and why I am doing this. I asked Him for His

Protective covering over me and the doctors. Once I did that I was more at peace.

Today is the day! So nervous and scared. Not so much for the surgery, I'm pretty confident I know what to expect. Surprisingly, I slept last night and could actually go back to sleep now. It's still all pretty surreal. Prayers for my fellow Octosleevers, especially all of my sleeve siblings also beginning their journey today! Will keep everyone posted on my progress! Woot!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
