Hello , I'm in Delaware. I haven't had the surgery yet, but I'm working on theballmofnthe preliminary tests & classes. I would love to have a support group.

Thanks so much for posting, I decided to hold the first meeting on January 15th, 2015 @ 5:30 pm this is on a Thursday. This group will be different then most already offered. They tend to be extensions of the surgery center. I want this to be personal guidance from other people who have had the surgery and can help with all your little questions that ones has pre and post surgery. So it will be an extension of what BP offers on line except we will be supporting on line and in person. The group will meet in Camden, DE just south of Dover. I hope this is not to far for you to travel. Please let me know if you can attend or have any questions.

Thanks

Where will the meeting be held?

I believe the first meeting will be at Whatcoat UMC 16 North Main Street, Camden DE. Depending on size of group will depend if I stay in fellowship hall or go upstairs to the adult class room. We hope to move it over next door to the Simpson Community Center (old sewing center building if you remember on corner), but not sure all renovations will be complete by January. I will try to post as its gets closer if I know for sure. This is going to be fun adventure! I hope you journey is going well. Please stay in touch if you have questions ask away.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
