I was actually scared cause the more I read, the more it seems like it is something I should seriously consider. And I thought he would just say "no way, no how" and then we would have a fight on our hands (he is a great guy but very stubborn once he makes his mind up)

But he said "Honey, it sounds interesting. If it would make you happy, I am 100% behind you. Whats the next step?"

I was so happy I cried a little bit :cry I had been so nervous all day.

P.S. What is "PB" and what kind of doctor do you have follow you through the process that can help you moniter your progress and stuff?

A PB is a productive burp (you need to burp, and when you do some food comes up with it)

And my surgeon has done all of my follow up work to date.

Hello Carol, PB stand for productive burp. After you're banded this happens sometimes if you eat too much or don't chew well enough. The food you've eat gets stuck and your body tries to get rid of it. It's like burping but, it's not air it's food. You need to see a bariatric surgeon for this procedure. Where do you live? For me I, I live in Massachusetts so I went with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Bariatric Unit. You can do a search on the web for a site near you, ask for recommendations from your own family physician too.
