6 Month Dietician Support Finally Over! Woohoo

Recommended Posts

Finally done with my 6 month diet support group. I thought it was never gonna end and god forbid you missed a call because they would start you all over. Everything so far looks good my health coach said so I should be hearing something really soon. Anyone else through with their 6 month dietician? If so, how did it go? Did they deny approve? I live in Arkansas and have quchioice and was working with Carewise.

My six month nutrician appointments were finished yesterday too(7/27/12). My egd was done the day before that. My psych eval is done everything is done but a day before my egd, I was told by my nurse "navigator" that I was supposed to have had two visits with my surgeon. Really, I have had to make all of my appointments do everything and are called a navigator, why??? Anyway, I am incredibly impatient and do not know how to create a post but knowing that others on this site know what i am going through, i felt I could get a sympathetic ear! Btw, is there anyone that is as overweight as I? I have been as much as 346? The sleeve mat not be drastic enough for me, does anyone know?

For my insurance, it counts as two. Each individual visit counts as one. But I am not yet approved so that remains to be seen.

Once everything is complete then you have to await the approval from the insurance company. In my case, the fate of my surgery is in someone else's hands as I have to wait for them to be present and accounted for. Is am completely done and she is claiming she does not have my psyche eval and then she realized that I have not met with my doc so she was scrambling to recover from that. Just make yourself very aware at every step along the way that all the bases are covered. Then call and stay on everyone! I am patiently awaiting approval now. Well, actually, impatiently awaiting! Good luck on your journey!

For mine, the first month didn't count. I started in March and the last visit was in June.

I was very anxious more or less wanting to get that 6 months over too. I feel very confident now making my decision and I couldn't even miss a phone call or they would restart my 6 months.

My final diet visit was July 24. I faxed over all the notes from my diet visits to the surgeon on Wed the 25th. I have not heard from the surgeons office so I will try to call them Monday. I am trying not to be to anxious and am *expecting* a denial so I am not freaked out. If I am denied i know it will be because of something stupid and then I will just fix whatever it is. I have been TOO thorough to be wrong but my insurance can be j@ck@$$e$. I am also having a hysterectomy when I get sleeved so that should make it even more of an adventure. Hoping for August but we will see!

I still have 3 more to go :(

6 months is way too long. I wonder who came up with that time frame? It's just so arbitrary.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
