I received my approval phone call Friday and began my pre op diet Saturday morning!!! I am soooo excited to begin this journey. I have not told anyone other than my mom and my husband. My husband tells me I don't need the surgery however he is very supportive - my mom not so much. She tells me nothing is wrong with me that there are many other options - yep been there done that. I've lost >150lbs in the past 4 years (combined weight loss following two c sections) I have 3 children ages 5, 3, 5 months

Yay! Congratulations =) Maybe your mom will turn around when she sees how great you're doing post surgery.

Congratulations! It was the best decision I ever made and I couldn't be happier with my progress! You need to be around for your kids and you need to be healthy for them and that's what you're doing. Next time mom says something negative about it, just tell her that you're doing it for your children and as a mother you'd hoped she'd understand that.

I am sure that you mother will come around once she sees how great you feel, and how much it improves your quality of life!

The surgery is over and last evening I kept asking my husband what the hell did I just do?! The gas pains near drove me up the wall!!!! However I slept quite well last nite and I feel way better this morning. Up and headed to the shower!!!!

Each day will get a little easier. In a few weeks you will feel like yourself again and the pain will just be a memory.

Well here I am 5 weeks post op and I am down 50lbs!!!! I lost 27lbs on my 4 week preop and since surgery have lost another 23. I also did my measurements last week for the first time since preop and I have lost 47" total!!!!! I love love love my sleeve best thing I have ever done for myself!!!!
