I am so totally ready for this. I feel like I have researched this until I was blue in the face. I am confident this is the right step for me.... I am trapped in a fat person's body. I haven't felt like my self for five years. I want to dance, and karaoke again :-)

Dr Schauer is my surgeon. My pre surgery appt is Wednesday. Have you seen the nut, psychologist and had the chest X-ray ekg and blood work yet?

Do any of u guys have to do a cross blood 2 days before surgery? I'm not doing any of my pre op testing until 2 days before since I live so far away...eek! Does anyone know what exact blood tests they do?

Ooh ok, I meant the pre-surgery appt then. I wondered when that would be. Yes, I have completed everything, am approved, and just waiting til Aug 29th (and whenever the pre-surgery appt is).

I am a self pay and didn't meet with a psychologist or the Nut yet (I know I will meet the Nut afterwards though). I did my CXR, the H. pylori test, and all the bloodwork already. Had to figure out how to get my insurance to pay for all that though! I pre register at the hospital on the 25th, and will find out then when I have to be at the hospital.

I'm so ready for this!!

My pre surgery appt is on the 25th. That appt is usually a couple days before your surgery. Did you request to wait that long for your surgery?

No, that was the date they gave me.
