Bluecross Blueshield Of Texas

Hi!

Anyone use BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Health Select? I am on my husband's insurance plan and need to know if it will cover the cost of me having this surgery.

I'm a newbie in North East Texas just starting the process. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I have it and it paid for my surgery with a giant deductible! But it did pay. :)

I have BCBS of TX (PPO) and I have been approved. But I don't know if that is much different from Health Select. Good luck!

Most likely it will be covered. There are some medical necessity criteria to meet. You can go to the website and read the medical policy for yourself. Here is the link: http://medicalpolicy.hcsc.net/medicalpolicy/home?ctype=POLICY&cat=Surgery&path=/templatedata/medpolicies/POLICY/data/SURGERY/SUR716.003_2012-02-01#hlink
