  2. July. Down 55 pounds. Low bmi. Now. Size 10 and normal BMI!
  3. Don't go too big. I want to get smaller implants myself. They look more natural. I am hoping to get my implants changed next year.
  4. I like the Atkins bars.
  5. I am not sure why you wouldn't tell them. Are you afraid that he will leave you? Are you ashamed of getting the surgery? Are you afraid that he will try to talk you our of it or sabotage your journey? I can't imagine being in a long term relationship and not discussing this with my sig other. But then I lie about shoes I buy so who knows.
  6. I have a frenemy that always talks about my pretty face. I want to slap her.
  7. Where did you find cute wigs? Did you use human hair? I know NOTHING about wigs.
  8. This is probably my biggest fear that I will go bald on top as its already thin.
  9. I was a BMI of 35. Sleeved 24 days ago and last time I weighed, I had lost 21 pounds. I have been away from a scale for 3 days so it may be more!
  10. I have a brush and whether or not it works or is a scam I have this to say about it: IT FEELS GREAT!!!!!!
  11. I love this post! I am also craving fish. Weirdest thing ever! Terrified of losing my hair but that's life!
  12. My doc said that to me too and I thought it was funny. Of course, she said it AFTER my surgery as explanation why I felt so bad.
  13. I add the chicken Soup flavor to mashed potatoes and other types of food so I can't even taste it. The Bariatric vanilla Vitamins suck. I am stuck with them.
  14. The keytones might be adding an extra smell.
  15. I am interested in this too. Where do you get such a thing?
  16. Boy did I need this post. I am feeling the same thing. I have been doing everything right for 6 days. I am losing about 2 pounds a day. But I am just sad and I miss eating something...still on clear liquids. I know it will get better.
  17. Thank you for the post. I felt like I had been hit by a bus. I had a horrible headache and some gas pain. I walked pretty quickly and I walked a lot because i was too miserable to sleep or be comfortable in the bed. It was pain so much as just pure misery. I was regretting my decision day 1! Now I am glad its over and feeling pretty good 5 days out.
  18. Me too. I would really like that. I am getting sleeved on Thursday and I am really scared. I would love to hear from others.
  19. I heart that biotin helps. I got some just in case.
  20. In the past, I had quite a bit of success with Atkins and then BOOM... it quit working. However, their products are pretty yummy. Their Chocolate shake is to die for and their bars and breakfast type products are seriously good.
  21. No Wildflower, I will be in Houston. Yikes... Is this a Mexico group? Sorry!
  22. About me... LOL I am a teacher, live in Beaumont, TX, love animals, art/crafting, movies, music, my kids... the usual. I decided to get the surgery because I have had such a hard time losing weight in these last years and I developed really severe sleep apnea. My stepsister did the surgery and did amazingly well so I decided to do it too! My doc is Dr. Marvin in Houston and my surgery is next Thursday. I am the kind of person who likes to know everything about what I am doing and I read everything I can find! What I am nervous about is being prepared and having all of the proper supplies. Any suggestions on that? I know the first week is broth etc... but what are these isopures? Where do you get them and what flavors do you suggest? I am nervous about not eating the right stuff and not having everything I need on hand. Anyone have any suggestions? I want to be prepared!
  23. I am so proud of you and I don't even know you! I am glad you have a support group. And I am glad you came here. I am new here as well but it seems to be very supportive. Do you have someone at your school to talk to? I think it is important to have someone like a counselor to talk to and most schools offer that at a very low cost or for free! Please don't take that the wrong way! I just believe in counseling so much. It has helped me very much in the past. When you are young like you are and facing adult decisions, it is a blessing to have someone to talk to to sort it all out. And it might help to have a plan to deal with the cravings. I know for me, I crave food for the emotional support. Best of luck to you. You can do it!
  24. I have it and it paid for my surgery with a giant deductible! But it did pay.
  25. My surgery date is the 19th and I am both excited and nervous. Like a lot of you, I don't see myself in the mirror either! I will think... "lookin goooood" and then I see a photo and I just almost die! I want to be able to wear cute clothes again and I want energy!!! I can't wait to hear from the people in this group who have had their surgery!
