  1. I have a frenemy that always talks about my pretty face. I want to slap her.
  2. My doc said that to me too and I thought it was funny. Of course, she said it AFTER my surgery as explanation why I felt so bad.
  3. I add the chicken Soup flavor to mashed potatoes and other types of food so I can't even taste it. The Bariatric vanilla Vitamins suck. I am stuck with them.
  4. I am interested in this too. Where do you get such a thing?
  5. Boy did I need this post. I am feeling the same thing. I have been doing everything right for 6 days. I am losing about 2 pounds a day. But I am just sad and I miss eating something...still on clear liquids. I know it will get better.
  6. Thank you for the post. I felt like I had been hit by a bus. I had a horrible headache and some gas pain. I walked pretty quickly and I walked a lot because i was too miserable to sleep or be comfortable in the bed. It was pain so much as just pure misery. I was regretting my decision day 1! Now I am glad its over and feeling pretty good 5 days out.
  7. Me too. I would really like that. I am getting sleeved on Thursday and I am really scared. I would love to hear from others.
  8. I heart that biotin helps. I got some just in case.
  9. No Wildflower, I will be in Houston. Yikes... Is this a Mexico group? Sorry!
  10. I am so proud of you and I don't even know you! I am glad you have a support group. And I am glad you came here. I am new here as well but it seems to be very supportive. Do you have someone at your school to talk to? I think it is important to have someone like a counselor to talk to and most schools offer that at a very low cost or for free! Please don't take that the wrong way! I just believe in counseling so much. It has helped me very much in the past. When you are young like you are and facing adult decisions, it is a blessing to have someone to talk to to sort it all out. And it might help to have a plan to deal with the cravings. I know for me, I crave food for the emotional support. Best of luck to you. You can do it!
  11. My surgery date is the 19th and I am both excited and nervous. Like a lot of you, I don't see myself in the mirror either! I will think... "lookin goooood" and then I see a photo and I just almost die! I want to be able to wear cute clothes again and I want energy!!! I can't wait to hear from the people in this group who have had their surgery!
  12. I am so ready for my face to thin out and my NECK! My neck is so "plump" that I can't wear my cute necklaces. I am hoping to lose there first!
  13. I am scared of the very same thing. I have heard stories from completely nauseous for a week to it being fine. So I guess we will find out!
  14. I have a hiatal hernia as well and my doc said that is why I have so much reflux They are fixing it when they do the surgery.
  15. Ok, I said that wrong. I chose not to do the one-incision surgery. Does anyone have any stories about the differences?
  16. Me too!!!! It almost doesn't seem real.
  17. I am a fairly big baby and I am a little nervous. I have heard that it is not the pain that gets you but the nausea
  18. I am July 19th in Houston! Yippee!
  19. This is the one thing I am worried about giving up. I am a HUGE diet coke fan. I don't drink coffee but love to wake up to a icy cold diet coke! I am really hoping to get over it after this and switch to water and tea.
  20. My surgery is next Thursday - July 19 in Houston with Dr. Marvin. I am a little nervous. Especially about what to expect right after and coping with the first week. I chose not to do the one incision surgery and I am nervous about that decision. I would have had to wait until August 14th for the laparoscopic and I want to get this done before school starts. Does anyone have any comments about either choice?
