Are you on a PPI (acid reducer)? Gastric acid is a very common side effect of VSG surgery, and most surgeons put their patients on a PPI (proton pump inhibitor, prevents acid from forming). Stomach acid feels very much like hunger.

I agree. i am 3 months out and get them also. but I know that I just drank a shake and you get the gurggling in your stomach feeling.

never had heartburn untill after I had the surgery. The only downfall so far. other than that I am loving my sleeve !!!

I get a growling feeling too that I couldn't connect to being hungry bcuz the idea of eating made me nautious! Friend of mine said its called something where your brain hasn't connected yet to your stomache and thinks your hungry even tho the thought of eating disgust you!
