Hi, and I am new from Nevada

Hi,

My name is Patty Martin. I am having the lap band Sept. 8th and starting to get alittle bit nervous. And going to try and absorb as much info from this wonderful site that I can.

Hi Patty, welcome to LBT!

I remember oh so well the mix of emotions just prior to being banded. It's certainly a roller coaster ride, isn't it?

Here are a few links that will help you be prepared.

thanks for the very warm welcome. I am going to check out those other sites, this one has SO MUCH stuff to look at and read. And I don't know how to do the ticker, I tried going to the site but I am not very good at that sort of stuff, very basic computer knowledge.LOL

Welcome...you've got some good links to look into...and use the "search" feature...if you decide you want to add a ticker, we can help you out there, too!

Hi Patty-

I'm also in Nevada. I sent you an email to the address you gave me in the pm. You and I have the same doctor. I was curious if you got the email I sent you or maybe it got caught up in your spam folder. Anyways, glad you are here and you will LOVE Dr. Hottie, I mean Dr. Watson.

I am also just learning about this fill part. I didn't know everyone required this. But looks like it is so. Also I have heard that after a year you pay for fills is this also true? If so I was for sure not aware of that.

Well I am a self-pay. And one of the things Dr. Watson includes if you are a self-pay is all your fills and office visits are free for the first year. After that I have to pay for my fills in full. I think they are about 250-300 dollars per fill without insurance.

Can someone tell me on some of the posts it says account suspended? Were they naughty? LOL or just mean?

WOW was not aware of the fee for the fills. I do have my St. Mary's Insurance (they approved me in less than 48 hours) and my husband's an electrician in the union and they denied me but I am fighting them they will give in (at least that is what I hear) I think fills are covered by insurance for the first year but will have to ask about after that time is up. Did you get my email?
