Love this thread. I once lost 100 pounds in 7 months with very strict dieting and exercise (I have since found them and their nasty little friends....but I digress) and had severe FLS. I actually worked with a counselor for a few sessions over the issue. I would go to the mall to buy clothes that fit and would wind up overwhelmed and sobbing on a bench. It took me forever to learn to accept a compliment and not have that moment of "am I going to fit" every time I walked towards a booth. I can't wait to have it again!!

I just realized today that I need to move my seat forward in the car. I don't need to be that far back for the steering wheel anymore.

And I has another victory a couple days ago. Was sitting on the couch talking to a fried & I realized that I had my legs CROSSED. I haven't done that (unless by extreme effort cuz of job interview or church) in at least 7 years. I can comfortable cross my legs!!!

Oh & my dog is sad. She loves to ride in the car but she doesn't go much. Today she wouldn't sit still. Fidgeting. Finally I reallizes she was sliding into the crack between me & the car door. It's like the grand canyon. Used to be, she sat on

Me had no problem sitting on my fluff.

I have this bad, I am still not tiny, but I am 95 lbs smaller then I was and my mind still struggles to adjust.

Here are some of my FLS moments...

My very thin cousin was sitting at a table that was really close to the wall, leaving not much room (she had room though lol), she got up and left and my mom told me to take a seat. In my head I was cursing her something fierce for drawing attention to it, because there was no way I would be able to physically squeeze in there. But what do you know, it was tight but I fit.

I found a pair of jeans on clearance that I thought would fit me, they looked about my size, until I looked at the actual size and they were a 16 when I am a 8-10.

There are sooo many times when walking through parking lots or getting out of cars that I think "I won't fit through there" and I have loads of room.

I am just starting to adjust. Today walking on the sidewalk I saw someone jogging and though to myself that I needed to step off the sidewalk so the could fit by me, I realized it was FLS though and stood my ground, and they didn't even come close to me.

Eventually my head will grasp the new me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
