WOW! Really???? Did you let your Surgeon's office know? I would be hounding them to resend it.

I called the surgeon's office and spoke with the BC. She said that she faxed it to the patient advocates and they are the ones responsible for forwarding to the insurer! Is that too much beauracracy in one office or what? I will be calling the insurer again tomorrow!

I'm in the same boat with you all. This is the 7th working day that I have been waiting. I have anthem ins. Anyone have anthem with a low BMI 38? Would like to know your experience.

I must admit I have been calling them. What are they going to do tell me not to call anymore? :)

I have been calling and found out that it has been sent to the doctor for review. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.

Good luck, I just got a deferral letter in the mail stating they can't make a decision yet because they have no medical history, pertinent diagnostics, or treatment/outcome....WTH?

On the 7th working day...still waiting.

9th working day still waiting also. I'm going to call ins. this afternoon and probably hear the same thing. "It's still being reviewed"

Well I have just been denied. I am so upset, I didn't realize how much I had my hopes up. I have rushed myself to death getting every little thing that ins. needed. I have a bmi of 38, high cholesteral, moderate sleep apnea, fatty liver, joint pain.

I'm going to get in the bed and have a good cry!

Why were you denied?? Appeal that!! With the issues you have, there is no reason you should be denied. Talk with your surgeon too- any surgeon worth his salt will be able to help with the appeal process. I'm so sorry :-(

Alot of insurance companies deny you first with the hopes that you will give up. If i am denied i am going to appeal it. i suggest you do the same!

Arrrggggggggggg. See my post in the pre surgery section :/
