Surgery July Buying House In Sept

My date for surgery is July 10. I am looking at buying a house, and closing in September. It would mean moving in September. I am wondering if this may be too ambitious a goal to close and move in September. I am starting to feel anxious about the surgery, and this house buying is adding an other level of excitement, and stress. Has anyone had a similar experience? What do those of you who have had the surgery already have to say about my situation?

If you have help to pack, move, and unpack, it would be okay probably. However, if you aren't planning on having a good deal of help, I would try to postpone the move. I know everyone is different with recovery. I think my recovery has been pretty easy so far. I will be 4 weeks out on Monday. I'm feeling better and being more active every day, but I wouldn't see myself being ready to move at 8 weeks out.

I certainly haven't been in those shoes, but it seems like you will be healed enough by then to do fine. I am a Realtor in Washington State, so I commend you on your wise choice to buy a home now before the prices go up any more than they have! Best of luck on your surgery AND home buying!
