I Need A Lil Support. Week 1 Post Op N Feelin A Lil Discouraged.

I had the sleeve done May 23 and I'm a lil unhappy. I hate this taste in my mouth. I hate that I cant enjoy a juicy hamburger. I hate that I have 2 sip fluids all day even when I dont feel thirsty. I hate that because it was so hot yesterday I became dehydrated and thought I was gonna pass out. On the plus side, Ive lost 20 lbs already! :-)

I felt exactly the same way. It'll pass.

I miss food. I have accepted the fact it is no longer enjoyable for me. Quite frankly, after 5 weeks, eating is a pain in the ass!

The major hurdle was for me to realize how often I'd say "I'm so hungry" but my head was saying it, not my stomach. So differentiating the head hunger vs true hunger is tough for a while.

Listen, if any of us could handle food properly, non of us would be here. So have patience, it DOES get easier. Just have to learn healthier habits and give your mind and body time to heal/readjust.
