SweetSusie' date=' went out with hubs tonight to the local pizza shop for my "last meal", they make awesome club sandwiches so that and a salad was my meal of choice. I am going liquids starting tomorrow. I am going to miss salad, I hear it is awhile before we can eat that again.

I do not know how you stand on your feet all day at work so soon after this surgery. Kudos to you! My husband and I own our own internet based business and I plan to take two full weeks off, unless I heal really quickly. I can sit at my desk and print shipping labels but packing the boxes and lifting guitars that are boxed, may not be on my job list for awhile. I plan on being really careful after surgery. We have three young men that can help me out and I am going to use their muscles.

I am glad to hear that you are doing so well with your weight loss. I am really looking forward to that myself.

You be careful at work and don't let yourself get exhausted. Keep up with your hydration and Protein intake.

Glad to know you got to have a good meal in before ur liquid diet, I know u will do great! As far as the lifting, u can't lift more than 5 pounds the first week then u add on 5 pounds per week after, I wish u best with ur job, I'm sure ur little men won't mind helping u, I wanna say a lot more but I'm about to fall asleep, lol, let me know how tomorrow goes and if u need help I'm here. Going to all liquids today. I am only required 10 days pre op but I am getting the issue under my control and starting today. Want my liver to be very small by surgery day.

How are you doing? I talked to Susan and got the email of my sleeve sister so I have been able to make contact with her too. :)

We may just all have a big perty together down there in MX, celebrating the new gals we are going to be !!

Susie, you have to be exhausted. You rest and relax as much as possible.

I will keep the lifting restrictions in mind while working! Thank you for that.

My surgeon wanted me to do one week of liquids, but I am going to do two weeks for the same reason as allnewme! So that starts tomorrow!

Okay, I am getting lost in all of the forums, especially since the August group has become so big. I can't remember who I know from which forum! Since we have it narrowed down a bit to Dr. A. Can everyone post your date for surgery with him, so we can see who will be getting to meet whom? I'll go first:

August 6th- My name is Jennifer

I am in the process of starting my liquid diet early (officially has to be 23rd). So far today things are going well. I choose to start early to get a handle and hang on things. Today I had my first unjury Protein shake. I used chocolate classic. It tasted like a room temperature melted chocolate shake. No bitter aftertaste for me, no chalkiness, but I am noticing myself burping quite a bit here an hour after. But I can do this!!

You rock!!. Congratulations on your pre-op weight loss. I started semi-liquid diet this morning. I was going to completely start (were my intentions when I woke up) for Breakfast I had a chocolate classic unjury Protein shake. For lunch I had 1 cup of sugar free strawberry/banana Jello, and just now I had an Atkins chocolate low carb drink.

Then here recently my husband sent me a text asking if he can take me out for my last meal tonight when he gets home from his schooling. He wants to have a family night before the surgery. I guess I should have filled him in on my intentions of starting my liquid diet today. He knew I was planning on starting early, just never specified a date. So I feel like a **** for not including him in my thoughts, so I agreed to allow him to take me to dinner.

All in all, the day so far on liquids has went very well for me so far. I know I will get to eat this evening, but I just found that out. I do have to say that the atkins shakes give me great satiety.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
