New to the site. Here's my story, so far....

31, married, live in Texas and about to undergo my first surgery EVER on Monday. WLS is something that I have needed for years and have wanted for the last 10, but it hasn't been financially obtainable until now. Last year our company was bought out and with the new company came new insurance, which will cover the surgery!

I started researching the policy requirments back in November and it took effect in January, I called for an appointment with my surgeon on the first day back to work after New Years. My first appointment was on Feb 15th after many many ups and downs and bumps along the way, Monday I am going under the knife to start my new life. Also having a henial hernia repaired, since they are going to be in there already

I have never had any surgery so I really dont know what to expect. Just grin and bear it I guess. I know its totally going to be worth it. The hospital I am having it done at keeps us 2 nights so I think I am going to be grateful for that extra help for 1 more day. Good luck to you, and I hope you are feeling better soon

I can relate, cause I'm a little over two weeks out and my tummy incision still hurts when I cough, sneeze, and laugh real loud lol. You'll be fine, and congrats...
