Just Realizing What A Waste "diet" Frozen Dinners Are!

Why did I never realize before how nutritionally useless most of my favorite lean cuisine meals are? At face value they have a reasonable amount of protein but WAY too many starches. It's not like I have extra food space any more! Oh these epiphanies are slow in coming!

Yes, not the best choice,, they are however fairly good for portion control - as long as that's ALL you eat. One of the meals, PLUS bread, PUS dessert, etc and you are not really doing yourself any good.

Shop around and read labels, some of the prepared meals are fairly balanced. Just eat them sparingly and have plenty of other home cooked stuff.

isn't it nuts?! it's amazing what we realize later on, after surgery. even though i am on clear liquids, i find myself checking the protein and carb content on everything! lol

They don't taste that great, either! I'd rather eat a peanut butter sandwich on sprouted grain bread for that amount of calories.
