sleeved on 4/23. My incisions are almost healed. The glue is there, but there are all dried up. Cherrybomb - I was advised to call the surgeon is they were not healing properly. Maybe you should give the office a call?

He saw them on Monday of this week and said they look okay. He said if I had been getting enough Protein in the first couple of weeks they would have healed faster. They all looked healed under the glue until it fell off. It came off at about a week out.

April Sleevers' date=' how are everyone's incisions healing? I am 4/3 and my biggest one is still not healed. I believe the super glue stuff fell off too early and let it gape open, which is making it take longer. The rest are all healed.[/quote']

The Incision horizontal, above my belly button is not completely healed. Half of it is healed, but the other half isn't. I went to the dr & he said that it was NOT infected & that it would heal, but was gonna take a little while bc of it being right in the crease of my belly. Will be so glad when it heals!!!

Was sleeved on april 11 and down 22 pounds. Hit my first stall and it is driving me crazy!

On the plus side....clothes are getting looser.

Is it true that although I don't see the scale moving that inches may be melting away during a stall.

I was sleeved on 4/16, beginning wt. 227, now 204. My appt. w/Dr. and nut is on Tues. Will be so glad to get a list of mushy foods I can eat. I'm so tired of sweet artificial drinks. I just can't stand the shakes. I've been drinking Isopure 3x/day and little else other than Water. Also have a carnation instant Breakfast chocolate milk, hot, in the morning.

I bought alot of chix breast, broccolli and plan to make chix-broccoli Soup. Also bought the magic bullet to pulverize it, can't wait.

Did try a little oatmeal this morning because I was so hungry, but could only take a few bites, it seems my sleeve didn't like it.

Sounds like everyone is doing well, best wishes to all.

D

Hi guys. I was sleeved on the 16 and I'm able to start purreed foods tomorrow. I didn't have much pain just some gas, but walking made that easier . My only problem is I can't tell when I'm hungry anymore

I had surgery on 4/10/12 and I am doing great! I can't believe all the energy I have. I'm able to get all the Protein and fluids in daily and I've gone back to our fitness center and I'm doing usually 45-60 minutes on the treadmill at 3.3 mph and 10 incline! I usually also take a walk around our neighborhood, about 1 1/2 miles. I'm averaging between 500-600 calories daily but now I am at a stall at losing weight. I haven't lost anything since last week. So in 3 1/2 weeks I lost a total of 18 lbs, but 7 of those pounds were 2 weeks pre-op. I understand though that this is normal. I just hope it doesn't last much longer! It gets very discouraging when you are exercising so much (burning more calories than consuming). But Ill keep plugging away. How are you doing?

I have the same thing! The sleeve feels confusing. Sometimes there is a light rolling pain that seems like it might be hunger but I can't tell if it is for sure or if it is just digestion. It is like making friends with a whole new body! I am finding it a lot harder to get in Protein now that I am on mushies - it was a lot easier when I could just drink all day and have high Protein Shakes.< /p>

Well my surgery was 12-April and I am down 30lbs. I had a minor set back yesterday an was put back into the hospital. I have an ulcer and my sleeve empties slow so when I ate my banana for Breakfast it got stuck. I have never felt such awful pain. But good news is I'm being discharged he today. I have to go back to the beginning and do the liquid diet for a week.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
