Im A May Sleever!

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am due on 15th, but I am n Australia. I suppose to stay for 3 days post op, but I am diabetic and did have a kind of cardiovascular problem, I think these three days is essential for the dr to make sure that everything is going well for me.

As ur doctor choose for u only one day stay, ur health might b stable and he thinks that u don't need longer medical attention post op. u shouldn't be worry if ur health post opneeds longer stay make sure that ur dr will never discharge u.

By the way shorten ur stay in the hospital if don't need too is much better as this will decrease the risk of getting the hospital acquire infection. So just b positive and don't hesitate to discuss any of ur concerns with ur dr, that is ur health and ur right to feel safe and comfy

Good luck

Amany

Gwen. What part of NJ?

I was told no caffeine. Decaf coffee or tea is fine. My hospital actually will serve that on the tray to me day after surg. My NUT gave me a list of what will be served in the hospital.

costco shakes are the best! I highly recommend them. They are called premiere and buy a magic bullet blender it's great!

I am still waiting for insurance approval. But I am scheduled this fri may 11 !!

I was told no coffee as the caffeine is an irritant to the stomach. Decaf is ok. I had been a serious, daily coffee drinker for years an the withdrawal was awful. I had a 5 day Migraine and ended up having to take one day off work because I felt so sick and weak. I have been off coffee for a month now and don't even miss it. I even bought a small latte this weekend and didn't finish it.

Plus all the calories And the money that I save makes it worth it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
