  1. O happy to find this page. As some of you mentioned I wasn't seeing the higher weights so thinking I'm the only one! I had my surgery may 23rd. My hw 465 sw 435 and now 3 months later im 374. Total of 91. Have so much more to go! We will get there. This past month I haven't lost anything. I keep hovering between 376 and 373. Hopefully it will start up again.
  2. Need a very large knee brace. My knee has been hurting lately from exercising. Any ideas where I can find one that might go over my knee.
  3. I started sleeping on my side 2 weeks out with a pillow wedged kinda under me and I would wrap my arm around it. Around 6 -7 weeks I could finally sleep on my stomach comfortably. I'm alot heavier than most so it was harder.
  4. I had chills about a week out. Ran a low grade fever. But I never checked it out. I'm now 8 weeks out. I kinda just think it was my body trying to heal.
  5. Some people brought some liquid pain meds. I didn't. Plus I didn't know of it might interact with what they gave me. I made it. It was tough but doable. Take a heating pad. That helped a lot. And I also took some hot tea bags. And sugar free koolaid or Hawaiian punch. Good luck!!
  6. My doc said once it comes open you have to let it heal open. You don't want to try to reclose it and take the chance if trapping some bacteria in it.
  7. I had an open one. I soaked gauze in sterile solution and held it to my incision about 15 minutes 3 times a day. Then put antibacterial ointment on it with a bandage. It will eventually heal up. You won't have a hole. I thought the same thing but mine is healing great. It's healed all the way up to my skin. Just takes time. It has been one month now since my surgery. So about 2 1/2 weeks since having stitches out.
  8. Wow you guys are in school for so long. But I bet you start later!! I teach jh/hs and we were out may 17th. I had surgery may 23rd. I was getting pretty grouchy on my pre op diet during school. Sooooo glad it's summer!!! Good luck to you all having your surgery soon!
  9. They are delicious!! There is one bar that has 10 grams of protein. Most of the others only have like 4 or 5. I got mine throu qvc. Saw them on one evening and ordered. Glad I did.
  10. I ordered some, they are at the post office so i need to go get them to see the nutritional value on them. I can't remember what they were. I hope they are good and good for us.
  11. How far out did y'all start eating pork rinds?
  12. You go back every day to the clinic for pain meds not for sure if I mentioned that.
  13. More than likely you won't need any pain meds they will give you a good dose when you leave in the morning the some later that evening. The pain is mainly from the gas so that's why you have to walk walk walk. You could take some of your own liquid if your worried about it. Yes I was in pain and tout I was dying! When I wasn't walking I was sleeping!
  14. Hey girl. I am having the same ordeal! My top one came completely open! Was gross! So my doc has me soak some gauze with sterile solution and put it on my open incisions for 15 minutes then put antibiotic ointment on it with a bandage. Just the two that are open. My other incisions are doing good. But my two that are open just have to heal from the inside out.
  15. Yes you stay the night at the clinic. They have small rooms where there is two people in there. They checked my blood pressure and gave me nausea and pain medicine in the night.
