I had one ... undiagnosed. When the surgeon was doing my sleeve, he corrected the hernia. Because of it, there was some additional pain when swallowing right afterwards, but by no means was it something I couldn't deal with. Before surgery, I had reflux issues all the time. Hated it. Since surgery, none ... zippo. It has been awesome!

Don't worry about it and know that it is a good thing to have it corrected.

I had one too, undiagnosed that was corrected during surgery. Fixing it didn't bother me at all and I wouldn't have known they did it unless they told me. I had reflux too, probably from the hernia and since surgery I've been on meds for reflux but I'm able to skip days and not have it bother me at all so I think the heartburn might be on the way out! =) One can hope at least!

Thank you so much for responding! You made me feel better. This new technology is awesome. It is great to be able to communicate with people about same issues and get fast responses.

Mine was found during preop testing. It will be corrected during the surgery and I was told that I would be fine! My doctor said that they see this alot and it's nothing I should be worried about, they'll just correct while doing the sleeve.

Best wishes to you!
