Depends on what kind of work you do.

Good response. Also depends upon how surgeon does VSG. I was an outpatient for VSG with no tubes, drains, overnight stay. So, I was working on my computer within a few days and back traveling within a week. Too early really.

Ask your surgeon how long most patients of his/hers take off after VSG. Congrats on an upcoming surgery.

i was out for 3 weeks. i didnt need 3 but i planned for three just incase the surgery had some type of complications.

I have a desk job, so I took just a week off. I wish I would've taken 2, only because of the fatigue. The pain had lessened considerably during the first week, but I was so dang tired by the end of the day that I was going to bed at the same time as my 5 year old. :)

I had my surgery on Feb 1st and went back to the office Feb 9th....one week was good but two

would of been divine :)

I am a hairdresser and went back to work at one week.

No problems.

3 days and NO it was not enough even for my desk job. I'd advise a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks if you can swing it.

Hi,

It does depend on what you do. I have my sleeve done on 02/28 and I am going back to work tommrrow 03/08 so I had a little over a week off. I wish I would have taken a full two off because I am feeling some fatigue but no pain.
