Anybody Else With Dr Kelly On January 25, 2012

Recommended Posts

Looking for surgery buddies with Dr Kelly on January 25, 2012? I didn't use any of the coordinators to book as I booked directly through Dr Kelly himself. I've spoken to him several times and feel real confident. I had a previously was banded October 2010 with Dr Ortiz, but decided to go with Dr Kelly as I wanted to be in a real hospital instead of the OCC Clinic. I am excited to get this !#&%* band out of me and get on with my life!

Is it cheaper to book through Dr.Kelly rather than to use a coordinator? I was quoted 5,700 by a coordinator is that more expensive than just booking it through him? Oh and by the way Good luck on your surgery today!!!! =)

I booked thru Dr Kelly (jrkelly45@hotmail.com). $5500. Sleeved 12/28/11. No pain or nausea. I went by myself and had zero problems. HTH. I brought a cashiers check with me and had to remind Dr Kelly to get it!

Hi all, I had surgery yesterday & It went well but I literally feel like I was run over by a bus! I'm not kidding. This was a sleeve revision so I knew it was going to probably be worse than the band... and I was right. I've been trying to walk as much as I can, but still sore. Not really any pain just exhausted and sore. Skinny girl here I come!

Awww you poor thing!! Yeah, I've heard from a lot of folks that there is much more pain with a revision. Don't overdo it, but yeah, walk as much as you can, it will help. It'll get better everyday though!! As soon as you can have Protein Shakes, try to get in some Protein, it'll help with the healing and nutrition. Take care and congrats on being sleeved!

:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
