I have had real issues with reglan didn't help me at all. Reglan made me even more anxious. The zofran comes in pill form and is suppose to be the strongest anti nausea medicine they make. Even this far out I have to be careful drinking too many fluids near bed time. Are they sure your leak and abcess are all healed? I had a major issue with nausea and vomiting several years ago non sleeve related lasted months for me it was my weird body's reaction to a hormonal issue. Have they tested your thyroid?

Try these for Protein. They are much better than the shakes. I can't drink shakes either. All you need to drink is one bottle a day. Each bottle has 40gms of protein. Get it good and cold. Sip on half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. So what if it takes all day to finish it. At least you are getting in your require protein to stay healthy and they don't taste half bad.

i dont have an abcess and they are not sure if the leak is healed so they are waiting until the 4th week to remove the stent.

i totally give up on shakes guys so dont even bother suggesting any. ive tried so many, so many brands & flavors & i dont have the stomach to try anymore. i been drinking shakes for years & they just make me absolutely sick now. i didnt know i couldnt tolerate shakes anymore until my pre-op diet. had i known way ahead, i wouldve never had WLS but by then, it was too late. i wasnt going to turn myself away. i shouldve though because look where i am now! :'(

i woke up with a horrible dry mouth which is shocking because usually im spitting every 3 seconds. i went to get some gatorade (i wanted flavor) & boy was that a mistake. i drank 1/5 of a cup of it & began throwing it back up & even threw up a piece of fruit from the fruit cup from yesterday. for those of u who dont know, the inside of astent is like afence so i guess i have food stuck in it & its coming up when i throw up. i didnt throw up all day sunday. (sighs)

I wish I could give some words of wisdom, offer suggestions on the perfect drink for you, tell you how to feel better but I feel I can't help. You've posted for a long time with alot of different ailments and I've tried to help but feel it doesn't matter what i have to offer, you have already tried it..hate it. I'll just keep praying that you get over this fast.

Sorry for your problems.

When I have problems I drop back into pure liquids, clear if necessary. I take a sip and swish it around in my mouth to mix in the saliva digestive juices before I swallow it.

This is a technique I learned from the juicing people,... "chew your juice".

I resist the urge to take it in fast. I take a sip and set the cup down and wait a couple minutes whether I feel like it or not.

I think of my new stomach as a newborn baby. It needs to be "babied" or it will keep you up all night.

Apologies if this is old news to you.

I am praying for you, too.

i totoally agree with tis approach, seems loke all the foods would irritate things furthe

i suppose that's all you can do. you seem to be a very caring helpful type person. all we can do really is listen and have empathy for the person who is going through the problem. iirc jasleeve doesn't have a lot of outside support so is practically living on here, telling her story as it happens and it is probably very therapeutic.

yeah i think the food irritates me at this point especially cuz the inside of a stent is like a fence & food gets trapped. i seen it for myself in the pics they gave me.

i really dont have much support. its why i come on here & describe all things in detail. also because i know one day UNFORTUNATELY, there will be someone just like me who will be suffering from all the things or some of the things that im going thru. i know i search all the time for keywords to see who is going thru what just like me! i just pray that someone wouldnt be as uncomfortable & sick

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
