I don't want to put a damper on the Saturday weigh in but I read an article in PreventionGuide Weight Loss magazine that I found interesting and would like to share. Im not saying it's right or wrong but would like other's opinions.

"Researchers found that dieters who stepped on the scale every day lost an average of 12 pounds over 2 years and were less likely to regain lost weight (weekly scale watchers lost only 6). Daily monitoring helps ID the behavioral slips that cause weight gain."

It's not a significant loss but it does make sense.

Thanks :)

The whole premise for me starting to weigh once a week was to BREAK THE CHAINS of that scale...I was weighing morning, noon, and night some days! It was HORRIBLE!

A once a week weigh in also gives accountability for me and maybe for others even if one does weigh daily :).

Also, I want to see over a long period of time if it helps or hurts to weigh weekly. So far for my peace of mind its so much better to weigh in weekly, but I do admit I've cheated lol...

That makes perfect sense! It's good that you've found a plan to break you from the weighing habit. And I've cheated too.lol

OK, I've finally made it to 155 lbs. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! Now I just have to get now 5 more lbs for the Easter Challenge. I can do this!

It took me a long time to get the last 5 lbs, so I'm hoping I'll be able to drop the next 5 lbs. Cheers everyone! Have a wonderful fulfilling weekend!

260.8,,,I didn't even lose a pound this week. I'm just a little frustrated because I'm only a little over 8 weeks out. I've never really had that large drop in weight except before I was sleeved on the pre op diet.

I am officially down 50 lbs!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! 181 Today! I am so excited! Now on to the 170's! Keep up the great work everyone and just remember there will be weeks with little to no loss, believe me I have been thru them more than once. It will come off, sometimes slower than others, but that is OK with me! Have a great week and i'll see everyone next week!

Hang in there, Sweetie. Just keep doing what you know you need to do and it will come off. It is discouraging sometimes when we aren't losing as much as we want. Are you excersizing or walking? Keep at it!! :) You're doing great!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
