Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery Monday Dec 12th

My first day was horrible after surgery I woke with a fat lip, left side of my face was puffy and I hurt so bad. The nurses said it was because of the tube they put in so I could breath.

Dr Atkinson from Las Vegas did my surgery Monday afternoon

I am having trouble with the Protein powder, can't get use to the taste.

  • Congratulations- I hope everything is going well and I'm really excited for you! I am pre-op so I can't speak for the protein powder, but understand it may be difficult.

  • I truly hope you feel better today. That pain will pass and just think about your long term goal, it will be worth the pain afterall. Take care of yourself.

The pain passes quickly. Day 5 I woke up and realized I was sleeping on my stomach! Even more then that, I was so comfy I decided to sleep for another hour! I had a hard time too with the protein powder. I sucked it up though and got it down. It is easier to drink now then it was. Take your time and get used to your new tummy- Good luck to you!
