Can I ever again have a beer?

I was told "no carbinated drinks....ever again", but have taken a sip of my husband's beer on three separate occasions. Any sleevers out there who can actually drink 12oz of beer on tap? I'm just curious.

I am 4 years out now, but I have been drinking beer since about 2 years post OP. It makes me burp a lot, but I find it a much better option than liqour as that goes down way too quickly. I cant drink and eat, but I usually eat before or after. Draft beer is def less carbonated. I think bottles are the worst. I havent had any issues with it at all and I drink a couple beers maybe 1-2 nights a week.

Oh and my stomach has not stretched either as I still only eat about 4 ounces, maybe 5 or 6 if it is softer food, but that is usually not likely
