  2. Oh and my stomach has not stretched either as I still only eat about 4 ounces, maybe 5 or 6 if it is softer food, but that is usually not likely
  3. I am 4 years out now, but I have been drinking beer since about 2 years post OP. It makes me burp a lot, but I find it a much better option than liqour as that goes down way too quickly. I cant drink and eat, but I usually eat before or after. Draft beer is def less carbonated. I think bottles are the worst. I havent had any issues with it at all and I drink a couple beers maybe 1-2 nights a week.

  10. I am a year and one month out. I still weigh my food often. At this point I can only get in about 3 oz of protein in and then 2 oz of fruit or veggie at a time. And even that amount takes me forever to get down.

  15. Don't rush it! The downfall of me losing quickly is a higher chance of loose skin, so that is my new worry. I honestly didn't believe my doctor when he said I would be anywhere near this size. I am now 132, 4 lbs away from goal, and wear a size 6 in pants. Never in my life have I seen those numbers. And @@surrey1987, good luck and keep us posted! If you have any questions or anything ,feel free to message me

  18. I had my surgery June 26th and I am about 9 pounds from my doctor specified goal. HW:226 SW: 205 GW:128 CW: 137 Oh and I am 5'1
  19. I would love to see more before and afters, especially from our age group. I am about 9 lbs from doctor specified goal weight. I had surgery June 26 and it was the best decision I could have ever made. HW: 226 SW: 205 GW: 128 CW: 137.2 Oh and I am 5'1
  20. I brought slippers, a robe, a book, my phone, and a few other miscellaneous things. I only used the robe. And I didn't wear a bra but to be honest at that point, I didn't care what I looked like.
  21. As a college student I had to open an eBay store to sell my old clothes (I'm dropping sizes fast and only wear things a couple times before I'm on to a lower size) so that I can afford to buy new clothes that fit. When you can buy shoes a size smaller because you no longer have fat feet. When the people you work with are concerned that you might get too small. This one is baffling for me because I have always been heavy. When you think your ring size 7 will fit and realize that after getting sized you are a size 4.5. Oh the many joys of all this I love it!
  22. Sleeved 6/26 SW: 202 I am currently weighing in at 177. That was definitely the good news of my appointment today after having an allergic reaction to the steri-strip tape. Even through all my struggles, seeing numbers like that on the scale after not seeing them for many years makes me so thankful that I had the surgery
  23. HW: 226 Before pre-op diet- 202 Pre-op- 192 Weight as of yesterday: 180.5 I was sleeved 2/26. I am having such a hard time getting in the fluids and drinking Protein shakes! I still have another whole week of liquids too! Oh boy! Other than that I am feeling pretty good today. how are all the other June sleepers doing?!
  24. I am 5 days post-op and between my pre-op diet and my surgery, I have lost 21 lbs. in 3 weeks. I am finally starting to feel like this was worth it. I had a few days wondering if this was a good choice to make at 23, but I have come to realize that I need this. My future depends on this. I am struggling with fluid intake, but trying to stay positive and do my best!
  25. I have also been overweight my entire life, but have tried diet after diet, eat pretty healthy, and stay active. I'm 23 and about to get the surgery in June. I have PCOS and this surgery is like my last hope to succeed at being healthy on the outside. Good luck!
  26. This was inspiring. Makes me truly believe this surgery is the best choice I will make. Thank you! And congratulations!
  27. I'm 23 and have a date set in June to get sleeved. I am so nervous but excited at the same time! It's nice to know other people my age have done this!
