tired of water, what to drink?

Hi

I am now 5 weeks out. I am getting enough Protein, but liquids seem to be my problem. I used to love drinking water, now I can't stand it. I have tried it ice cold, room temperature, filtered, bottled, flavored, but it just all seems to make me nauseated. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get more liquid in. I am supposed to be drinking 64 oz, but struggling to get 40 oz. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Karen

I am able to count all fluids toward water intake as long as they are caffeine free, no carbonation, sugar free. I count my decaf coffee, my light lemonade, diet cranberry juice just to name a few. I am also allowed to count my protein at this point to total my 64 oz.

Are we allowed to have unsweetened iced green tea? I LOVE it but i think it has caffeine. Why can't we have caffeine?

More suggestions would be Powerade Zero, tomato juice, 4 oz of fruit juice a day.. you can dilute this and make it 4oz of fruit juice and 4oz of water.

caffeine is a diuretic which makes our bodies expel the liquid faster than normal, that is wy they don't want us taking in any caffeine. I used to LOVE my water, now not so much. :-) I drink Crystal Light, I'm allowed to drink 8 oz of V8 juice per day which I love, & two glasses of skim milk per day. All count towards your fluid intake. Sometimes I'll add some milk to flavored iced coffee with some Splenda. Sugar free popsicles also count as liquid. Edy's makes a really good no sugar added berry posicles. I also enjoy the sugar free Fla*Vor*Ice freezer pops. Hope that gives you some ideas.....

thanks for all the ideas

I hadn't thought of sugar-free popsicles, I did try propel zero grape flavored. That worked well. I am getting back on track with my fluids, I'm glad we have a place to bounce around suggestions. rolleyes.gif

Yup, I love the Black Cherry Propel Zero. I've also had Peach and Lemon...pretty good!
