Sleeved yesterday and just got home

I'm thinking that I must have chosen to ignore any stories that told of excruciating pain. I guess I was in denial that I would be one of them. Oh my goodness!! The pain I was in yesterday was 1000 times worse than anything I expected. Today is better, but the gas pain got worse on the ride home (90 minutes). I'm trying to walk. I walked several 'laps' around the hospital which helped, but it's gotten worse again. I'm very bloated and sore. I'm really hoping that tomorrow will be better than today. :(

I'm feeling better now that I got my pain meds down. It was painful going down, but I feel soooo much better now. I've had about 2/3 of a popsicle, my pain meds, and I've almost finished a sf hot c

One plus to having this done in Mexico...the 2nights in the hospital..IMHO. Im glad Im not being sent home the same day not knowing what kind of pain is normal or not. I look forward to the 2 nights in a hotel also..even if I cant order room service. :(

Glad you are feeling better.

Thank you!!

Glad the gas pains are subsiding. I am very nervous about post-surgical pain, I'm a big baby!

About being in the US and going home quickly - my doc says that he typically wants a 1-2 night stay in the hospital but every patient is a little different and he's OK with longer or shorter depending on one's recovery. I tend to tolerate surgery very well and actually went home from my c-section a day early, so I'm hoping the sleeve surgery will be the same. :)
