Hi-

I am drinking... at least 64 oz.

today I stood up from my chair and nearly fainted- once I am up and over the dizziness -things are ok...

this happened on Monday as well- 3 times.

Yesterday I saw a surgeon, and he said more water...

today I am sure I have had water... Now I am thinking maybe more food?

anyone else share this great feeling?

next time I get this, my wife will stick my finger and see what my blood sugar is-

thinking it may be too low?

My Bp yesterday was 123/73- unassisted by drugs.

I am not taking anything but vitamins... and my food intake is exactly what stage II says except today I ate 3 crackers with 1 slice of turkey and 1 slice of cheese for my lunch. Breakfast was a shake.

I don't know if this will help or not. But I was reading the Atkins For A New You diet book and it mentioned in there that if you make sure you are getting some salt in your diet it will keep you from getting that dissy and fainting feeling from your calories being so restricted. Hope this helps. Have a good week.

thats totally normal at the beginning, ur body went through too much of rest! and changes.

Now my bit of advice before standing up is trying to squeeze ur leg muscles and then when u do stand up squeeze them more, so the blood will start rushing up again.

Also as ur doctor said and mine too Water WATER WATER. this feeling will fade away soon, and will just visit u every now and then when u are going too low or missing something from ur diet.

Also when u are gonna start working out this will totally vanish:)

hope this helps and wish u get better soon:)

Do a search on here for "potassium". I have been having dizzy spells when standing up and found out today my potassium level is low. It can be dangerous so it's worth checking. There are a lot of posts on here about this.

in case salt or potassium are your issues, drink Powerade zero. it has no carbs, sugar, calories etc but all the Vitamins and nutrients a dehydrated person needs !

I was told Poweraid too but cannot stand the Zero so I go with the regular. Even at 4 months out I still get dizzy when I get up too, whether I jump up fast or slow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
