Hello Everyone!

I had my first visit to start my journey today, and I have to say it went great!! My doctor and his staff was wonderful! I am so glad that I have decided to get this done. I am 5'3" 216lbs with a BMI of a lil over 38. I have co-morbilities as well. I am starting the 3 month SWL with them next week, so they told me I should be able to have my surgery in August, of course I have to do other requirements, but it is all worth it for what is going to be a healthier me in the future. I am just tooo thrilled right now!!!!

The wait and all the appointmetns are SO WORTH IT!! I am 5 1/2 months out and 16 pounds from goal!! The inconvenience is the beginning is a small price to pay. Hope you have a great experience too.

Awesome, congrats on beginning your journey! You are never alone on this board there are so many welcoming people who are here to help you and will be with you every step of the way. I mean, right now I am in the last two months of my PSWL and I am so excited that it is almost over. We might even be sleeved around the same time! So good luck and don't ever be afraid to ask questions.
