Gone for Good Club - July 2006

Recommended Posts

Thanks Jan!!!! I will definitely try them (I'm not big on orange, so maybe not that one - hehehe) I really wish I wouldn't have started mucking up, because it sure is hard to stop!!! I was doing great yesterday...protein shake, almonds for snack, grilled chicken and salad for lunch, then WHAM! I find my car driving itself into our local donut shop!!! Dad gum car!

My weekly weigh-in report -- I've lost 6 lbs in July so far. I've added exercise and that has kicked my success. This morning, the scale smiles 385 lbs.

Okay, still no chnge for me...but I have been leaving my stats at my low weight of 180.8. Looked on my calendar and that was 6 weeks ago? Up and down and up and down and now, this morning, back to 180.8. So, no change, but worth posting to me! Garsh...I'm ready to see 170 something. I'm so ready, and this has been so hard fought, I'll take a dadgum picture of my feet on the scale when I see it! It will be like getting into Onederland, but better, because I have really had to work!

Logging my food is helpful. There, I said it. I hate to admit that. Dangit.

C 191 (- 83 total, - 0 this week)

I also stayed the same and am in need of a fill. I'm going this afternoon. Hopefully it will jump start my weight loss again because I've been teetering between 191 and 194 for a month now. Plus, I'm eating like crazy....every hour or so.

C 178 (-44.5 lbs. TOTAL, -.5 this week)

P'Nut, Keep on coming back...drunk or not... :)

Telly, You SOOOO do not need a fill. You are also only supposed to get one if you are not losing 1/2 lbs every week within like a month. You have lost SOOOO much recently. You CRAZY girl.

YEAH MY CHEVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS SO COOL!!!

Pfunk, you are back! 6 lbs. YOU GO GIRL!

I am SO proud that I am down without a fill. Seriously, it has been weired not having a fill, kind of nice. Eating real foods. Apples, etc. and not PB'ing. I think I was too tight. Or maybe my mind (emotional hungry) band was too lose. Either way...I am going fill less for awhile.

I agree with Lins, Telly you dont need a fill girl.

Now let's see *squints* I see people weighing in so it must be Wednesday? hehe Guess I'll go see if I can stand on the scales without falling off before I can figure out what it says.

*comes back* Hmm.. :) Do you think two weeks of chugging the fruit of the vine (probably doubling my calories per day, or more) has caused this 2.5 pound gain? How odd. Stupid band... I want a bypass! *stumbles off laughing*

ROFLMAO!!! PNUT IS A NUT! ONLY 2.5LBS? THAT'S NADA in comparison to all that wine you been chugging.

I don't know guys. I think I need a fill because I'm eating like a cow. I can finish a whole breast and and entire bag of salad in 1 day. Not cool. I don't think I ever did that unbanded. My appetite is animalistic. After a workout, I charge straight for the fridge and I get this crazy look in my eyes.

Also, I love all of you. Lins12, Heathergurl, EmileeKaye, PNut, MoOrless, A1ikou, Tricia, Pfunkem, Best Me, Cheri...alllz of ya.. but I must tell you that if you stand in the way of the fridge and myself, you're bound to pull back a nub. That's how bad it is for me right now.

Hey Telly, when you come home from a workout, head right to a Protein Shake. You're putting a huge demand on your body during workouts and it's gonig to require a lot more fuel, which should be Protein so you don't lose muscle mass. It is very natural and correct to be taking in more calories when you are working out so much. A chicken breast is only 34 grams of protein and a bag of salad is hardly more than Water when you think about it. How much protein are you getting in per day?

Wow, I don't know. I haven't had a shake in 2 days.. so I'm just having 1 can of tuna and 1 filet'd chicken breast. So maybe 45grams at most. I should bring back Isopure. Isopure just annoys me. I have to scrape with a butter knife, all the white isolated Protein that accumulates at the bottom of my shaker. It concretes itself and I scrub for 10 min. Uggh.

I will try to get in more protein. You are right. I'm not doing everything I should. I refuse to look at rice, bread, mashed potatoes.. any carbs. I'm scared to go near it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
