I have already been making homemade broth and getting Protein Drink samples. Ugh, not looking forward to the 3 day preop diet!

As I've just recently found out, MeepMeep and I are both having our surgeries May 16th with Dr. Kelly in Tijuana. Yeah!!! Not looking forward to the liquid diet though.

I didn't realize this thread was here! I a thrilled to add to it- my surgery is May 9th - my surgeon is Dr. John Feng and my surgery is at Sequoia Hospital here in Redwood City- he is with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation , has done tons of sleeves and studied with the doctor in New York who developed it. He recently gave a lecture to a passle of doctors at Stanford about sleeves. I start my two week liquid diet on April 25th.

Hi all,

I just found out my insurance approved me! And the surgery dates approved for the hospital stay is May 23-25th! I have to find out what date exactly from my surgeon but I assume it will be on one of them and that is good enough for me!

I am SO EXCITED!

My surgery will be with Dr. Christopher You in Baltimore, Maryland! I have to do a two week pre-op diet where I drink about 5 Bariatric Advantage shakes a day! I know it will be hard but I'm willing to do what I gotta do. I have already been having a shake for Breakfast for about a month now to get myself more used to it. So far so good! In any case, I have to find out if I have to drink the shakes with Water or milk. I so hope milk because it makes the taste better.

So SO SO SO SO excited! I can't thank all of you enough for your posts, really have inspired me through my six month insurance period. I've learned a lot. I hope to learn more every day!

Becky

I have not seen a thread on here as it may be too early for the May sleevers, but I thought I would start one since I have a May surgery date!

Anyone out there getting sleeved in May?

I will be having surgery on Tuesday May 24th at 10:30 A.M. with Midwest Bariatric Solutions in Theda Clark Medical Center Neenah Wisconsin. Super excited at this point! I know the nerves will come soon enough!

Calling all May sleevers! Lets start this journey together!

Kara

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
