I did and had no problems in Mexicali. I might not in other places, though.

Just a quick question. When you are in Mexico do you drink their Water?

Hello!

It was explained to us by friends who live in Mazatlan full time: The Water source and water that comes from it are usually just as clean as in the U.S., it's after the the water gets in the water system that the buggies get into the water you may drink. Cracked water delivery pipes that allow germs in appear to be a big problem. We always drank bottled water including from those big 5 gallon bottles of Hibiscus, limon (lime) etc you can buy for the home or can get by the cup at the mercado. Ice was also not a problem for us and many of the people selling drinks advertised they had used bottled water for their ice. Fresh squeezed juice was delightful as well as smoothies. You can watch the Market sellers peel the fruit as they are making it. If you are worried, we were told to bring pepto bismol and take it 5 times a day to fend off gastrointesitinal organisms.

I didn't have my surgery in Mexico but I would carry a couple of bottle with me just in case they don't have Water in bottles.. I really wouldn't trust Mexican water.

In the hospital they give you bottled Water, and i believe that once they cook or boil the Water for tea and Soup, the organisms are cooked off! I had no problem and neither did my mom who had coffee everyday from the hospital cafeteria!

Had my surgery on the 7th in Tijuana with Dr. Kelly. The hotel provided bottled Water. The restaurant provided bottled water also. Went to have the leak test and vomited afterward. I went to the restroom to wash my face and rinse my mouth, Trish told me do NOT rinse my mouth with the water from the sink. At the Oasis Hospital, they brought me ice chips after my surgery and I sipped the water after it melted with no problems.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
