  1. At first I mostly just said i'm eating differently, which was exactly not a lie lol Now i'm really open about it and people really like to talk to me about it. Hey! Thanks! The most difficult was having to stay on track and not fall back into the same ol' bad habits. I went a month at one point that I had to buy new clothes weekly, which was bitter sweet haha Thank you everyone else you just really made my day

  3. I just wanted to share with everyone that the decision to get sleeved on April 26th 2011 in Tijuana Mexico was literally the best thing that I have ever done and my only draw back was that I didn't do it sooner! This time last year I was freaking out about having the surgery, going to Mexico by myself and starving due to a month on the liquid diet, but I would do it again in a heart beat! If you are thinking about getting the surgery DO IT! don't even think about it not getting it done!! This may sound normal for a lot of you, but a lot of little things changed this past year like how people act towards me, its sad to but they act much nicer and more respectful, I've had a few girlfriends(which before the surgery only had one ever) I run up the stairs without getting out of breath and my feet never hurt anymore! I know it may sound funny, but when I think about all I do is smile. I love when people ask what the heck happened to me, it makes me feel like 1,000,000 bucks! Heres a few pictures from the past year:

  7. I'm almost a year out and can't eat that much in one sitting. I like subway and can eat about 4 inches of a sub...
  8. Hey! GoodLuck! I went to Mexico almost a year ago and it was the best thing I ever did! Who is your doctor?
  9. The weight does come off pretty quick... It really depends on your age and how far your skin has been stretched. I lost 180lbs in about 10 months and have a little bit of skin issues on my arms and stomach, but lately seems to be getting tighter. I know there is some cream too.
  10. I just wanted to say that I love getting the sleeve done! I really feel that getting the sleeve was the best thing that I have ever did. Today I got on the scale and to my surprise I have lost over 100lbs since April! I always feel like a million bucks when i run into people I haven't seen in months and they have to do a double take! So, anyone considering getting the VSG DO IT! Its saved my life!
  11. I was 416 at the time of surgery on April 26th 2011 now down to 325.. I feel 1000% better and losing weight everyday.
  12. I drove home from the airport... so that was 4 days out. I'm sure I could have driven on the 3rd day too. good luck everyone is different though.
  13. Heeey I feel like a million bucks!!! I actually had a fun time riding on the planes. surgery went very quick and the only problem is the gas pains omfg! lol but its getting better..
  14. Yeah, I had never been on a plane before so i kept having thought that the plane was going to break down in the air lol everyone is super nice so far at the hospital.
  15. ok, im at the hospital in Mexico! not as freaked out as I was yesterday...
  16. So the last few months I had a few what ifs, but they were eased by some very nice messages, So now im getting ready to leave for the airport and everything is making get worried... I know that bad things will happen if I stay on the track i am on, but I keep thinking that I want to back out of the whole deal. Anyone else have these same issues? BTW good luck to everyone having surgery!
  17. I'm right there with you on Tuesday! I leave for California tonight, now im kinda freaking out lol
  18. Where are you going? I'm also on the 26th!
